Writing poetry has always been my passion as a child. At age 20, however, I let go of my passion for poetry to become a mother. I decided to faithfully devote my life rearing four beautiful children and life has been a bliss. However, after 21 years, when I thought I had everything figured out, I found myself in the most difficult time. My long lost passion has found me again and I cling to it for life.

a twisted past~
the metal and wood
on a wind chime
it’ll grow on me~
engulfed in flames
the paper flickers
lunchroom at the workplace
empty chairs respect
one another
I stayed all day in bed
laying next to me~
thoughts of you
the scent of pines in winter
the sea breeze in the summer
I long for you
the fleeting sunset~
the long drive home after
I spend time with you
slowly
the day diminishes its beauty
without you in sight
walk with me
allow me to look back
and look ahead
there’s no place like home
finding shelter
in your arms
like the sand
beyond my grip
another year passes by
how can a tiny candlelight
brings so much warmth
on a winter night?
unwrapping presents
wondering what’s in store
for the new year
